Sunrooms

A sunroom made of light.

A sunroom done well is the room the whole house migrates toward. We design and build them two ways, fully custom or as engineered Sunspace systems, and we will tell you honestly which fits your home.

How we approach it

A sunroom is a structural decision

Where it attaches, how many months you want it to work, and how its roof meets the existing one. Those three answers shape the room far more than the furniture ever will.

Start at the wall that exists

Where the room can attach, how the ground falls away, and which way the light arrives all get settled before anything is drawn. The back of the house decides more about a sunroom than the sunroom does.

Decide how many months

Screen, single glazing, or an insulated year-round wall. Each buys a different part of the calendar and a different budget. This is the choice that shapes everything after it, so we make it first and in plain terms.

Built into the house, not onto it

Foundation, framing, and a roof tied properly into the existing roofline. The structural work is the part nobody sees and the part that decides whether the room reads as architecture or as an attachment.

The room you actually sit in

Floor, ceiling, glass, and light. When it is right, this becomes the room the rest of the house drifts toward, which is the only measure of a sunroom that matters.

Designed in, not bolted on

A sunroom that belongs to the house

Rooflines, proportions, siding, and trim are matched or deliberately complemented, so the finished room reads as original architecture. Because we are a design-build firm, the same team that draws the sunroom also owns its engineering, permits, and construction.

Good to know

Sunrooms, answered

What kinds of sunrooms do you build?
Two paths: fully custom, site-built sunrooms designed as true four-season rooms, and Sunspace sunroom systems, from screen rooms to insulated year-round rooms. The first consultation looks at your home, your budget, and how you want to use the space, then we recommend the honest fit.
Will a sunroom look like it belongs on my house?
That is the standard we design to. Rooflines, proportions, siding, and trim are matched or deliberately complemented so the sunroom reads as part of the original architecture, not an attachment.
Can a sunroom be used year-round?
Yes, when it is built for it: an insulated four-season room with the right glass, foundation, and heating and cooling can be comfortable in every month. Three-season and screen rooms trade some of that comfort for a lower investment. We will walk you through the difference plainly.
Do you handle permits and engineering?
Yes. As a design-build firm we carry the sunroom through design, engineering, permitting, and construction as one continuous effort.
